Today, Vena’s offers a wide range of premium products — including Spirit Infusions like Cherry Manhattan, Shipwreck, Sweet Heat, Campfire, Sunshine Sipper, Maine Margarita, Espresso Martini, Raspberry Mojito, Cucumber Cooler, Sea Rose, Matcha Grasshopper, Blushing Grapefruit, Cran-Cherry, Blackberry Stinger, Honey Hot Toddy, Rocky Coast Bloody Mary, as well as our handcrafted Botanical Bitters and signature Maine Pine Syrup — all made with all-natural botanicals, freeze-dried fruits, herbs, spices, and artisanal blends.

Our Origin Story

From a nationally celebrated mocktail bar to a beloved e-commerce brand bringing handcrafted cocktail magic into homes nationwide.

Vena’s Fizz House opened its doors in 2013 as one of the country’s first dedicated mocktail bars — a visionary idea at the time. Nestled on Fore Street in Portland, ME, our little bar quickly gained national attention with features in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, CNN, DownEast Magazine, and many more. Visitors from all over came to experience our creative use of botanicals, bitters, and natural ingredients.As our signature drinks grew in popularity, so did the demand for our unique flavors beyond the bar. What started as handcrafted cocktails served across a counter naturally evolved into products customers could take home — Spirit Infusion Jars, Botanical Bitters, and our iconic Maine Pine Syrup.When the bar closed its physical doors, Vena’s transitioned fully into an e-commerce brand — carrying forward the heart, craft, and creativity that made the original bar special. Every jar, bottle, and blend we create is rooted in the recipes and techniques developed in our early days, infused with the same passion that defined our beginnings.Today, Vena’s Fizz House continues to celebrate the art of flavor, helping people craft memorable drinks and moments at home — just like we did behind the bar in Portland.

From day one, Johanna returned to traditional, forgotten ingredients : botanical bitters shrubs (drinking vinegars) house-made syrups infused sugars fresh herbs, fruits & spices.

Every recipe has roots — from antique cookbooks to childhood memories on her family’s apple farm . Her first bestseller? A homemade apple syrup discovered decades earlier, corked and wax-sealed , sold within an hour at a local market.Today , that spirit inspires everything we make .

Cucumber Gimlet

2 oz gin infused Vena’s Cucumber cooler .5 oz lime juice 2 dashes Vena’s Island bitters Measure into a Boston shaker with ice. Shake & pour into low ball glass. Lime & cucumber garnish

Sea Rose Cocktail

2 oz gin infused with Vena’s Sea Rose infusion 1 oz lime juice 3/4 oz. Amaro Montenegro 4 dashes of Vena’s Flowers Shake & pour into a Collins glass. Add 2 oz seltzer.

Sunshine Sipper Basic

2 oz vodka infused in Vena’s Sunshine Sipper .5 oz squeezed lemon juice 3 dashes of Vena’s Flowers bitters Measure into a low ball glass. Add ice. Add 1 oz of seltzer

Shipwreck cocktail basic

2 oz of rum infused Vena’s Shipwreck infusion .5oz squeezed lime juice 3 slapped mint leaves 3 dashes Vena’s Island bitters 1.5-2 oz seltzerMeasure

Sweet Heat Cocktail

2 oz Vena’s Sweet Heat infusion with any tequila .75 oz squeezed lime juice 3 dashes Vena’s Fiesta bitters 2 drops of Vena’s Ghost Pepper tincture (if wanted/needed)
